Kota Kinabalu Trip

Gotta wake up at 4.45, well not that i have slept, cant imagine two weeks of earlier packing came down to nothing!..was literally repacking my sacks at 2am..at least now I know what it means by travel light! Door bell rang at 5am, here cometh my fellow CB gang, Pandi Lee, Karen and Siew Foong ... and me with panda eyes...

5:15am : Cab came exactly as requested ... not bad

6:00am : Arrive in KLIA, Cindy, Selina and gang were already there... and boy was I surprised how large her bag is, hehehe...

9:00am : Plane departed to KK..ah, first trip on AirAsia, bit jakun too ... cant help but notice the common 'colour' of the cabin crew .. y all hitam one? ahh... anyway was way too tired to bother .. time to catch a few winks before the mega holiday begins ...

Arriving in KK
First stop : Makan ... we were glad that Cindy's aunt came to the airport to pick us up for lunch. Didnt managed to eat at the initial place cause it was way too packed, decided to just spill over to the restaurant next door. Apparently the initial outlet has the best fish-ball noodle in town .. and the one we had? Hmm... u know I know la ... hehe

Nevertheless, we had quite a meal ... in a scorching hot condition though !!!

now that tummies are full, Cindy dropped the I-did-not-managed-to-get-a-hotel-booking-in-Manukan shocker.

Wah.. apa alagi, horror la! I mean ... after all these months of planning (kinda reminds me of my packing adventure too) and it boils down to nothing? Hmm.. so there we were combing the agents around the jetty in KK, looking for deals. Yes we can.. yes we can ...

anyway, cut the crap short, Cindy soon found one (she disappeared for a moment) in Pulau Gaya for only RM50 each including return ferry fareas. That's good deal ya (sure got catch one)! Pay la quickly ....

1st stop : Pulau Gaya

The Gayana Resort .. looks kinda nice from here ha? Farny .. didnt look that well whilst there pun

Honestly I did not where on earth Pulau Gaya is and how long does it take but was really hoping somewhere far ...

Mana tau it was just off the coast of KK and took a mere 45minutes to get there. Oh yea, thats on a turtle speed boat .. not those Baywatch Speedos. Kill-joy betul ....

One of the chalets in Pulau Gaya.. nice le but not the one we stayed. We opted for the RM50/pax/night...dam cheapskate. Looking back, we were abit perplexed that none of us captured a single pic of the chalet (from outside). Quite kelakar la, but if you still wanna know ... just imagine a Sarawak long-house on stilts and bunks bed inside.

We covered 4 island (Manukan, Sapi, Mamutik and Gaya) in just one day .. haha thats becoz they just so close to each other.

Not bad but also nothing to shout about. I mean after what I thought I have heard about Pulau Manukan, it was really an anti-climax to see the island as something not more than just another beach, with hardly anything that stands out. Even the the much sought after snorkeling was plain boring and i think i spent less than 1 min doing that ... thats how bad it was.
