Aik aik & Hsemate's Wedding

The second CB gang wedding ... Aik Aik and Housemate

This time around, I mean compared to Moo Moo's wedding, we traversed afar to the historical town of Melaka, hsemate's hometown for a quick/short escapade (a typical CB Gang trademark) before assuming our Chee-Muis role during hsemate's big day.

Saturday 17th Sept
Check-in to Century Melaka, unpacked our stuffs and headed str8 for food and to get the wedding present (haha... typical last minute CB Gang again)

Had dinner in one of the Satay Celup restaurants nearby before we called it a day .... didnt quite enjoyed the meal as my nose was already singing away to the tune of an opera house ... just plain irritating.

Hmm... u actually believe we called it a day after dinner? Heck no... back to Giant to get the Chee-Mui's TOP 10 killer tricks.. more of the tricks below.

Sunday 18th Sept
Hsemate's House in Melaka
Woke pretty early (thats just me actually) because we wanted to have western breakfast before hsemate's brother comes to guide us to her house. Haha.. its been a while since i last had bacon/sunny side upeggs/ baked beans and toasted bread for breakfast. Cool. Quite nice ... should give it a try next time you go there! Call for more info.

The journey to hsemate's house took quite awhile considering its more on the outskirts of downtown Melaka but whoz counting when ur not the driver (thanks Pan!!). After a few zig zags through some small villages, we soon found our way to hsemate nest and aahhh... deja vu. Just the setting i'm so used to growing up in teluk intan, wooden houses with open lands and gateless community. A far cry from what we are used to in KL .. heck I'm even paying to stay in a GATED community .. hmm ... macam tak betul je.

Anyway back to our Raja Sehari .. Tuanku Aik Aik and Puanku (?) Hsemate.
Aik Aik arrived with his entourage of around 3 cars (I think) in a gleaming cream Lexus RX470; bringing with him his 'heng-dai's ... quite intimidating intially though, but of coz, nothing's too big for Ah Sou to handle la.. u'd to be there to see her in action, along with her pelakon tambahan CYC, Karen and Winnie. Where were the guys u say? err ... Fai-kor became the unofficial paparazzi, me biasa la with my camera, leaving Ben and Pandi to decide with line they wanna cross...

Wah thomas, khang khor le .. the chee-mui very keng la

open la ... i promise i wont drink guiness stout anymore

even the flowers bloomed brighter for the day ... all thanks 2 the chicken poohs
Smiles from the left : Winnie, Fai-kor, Ah sou, Hsemate, Aik Aik, Karen, CYC, Pandi, Ben & me

Dinner @ Mun Siang Lo Restaurant, Klang
My very first wedding experience in a Klang restaurant!! Hehehe.. so after all these years, I braved myself for the ultimate experience. So here goes ...

As usual, we were late, yes .. all because Fai-ko was the last one to shower and we left USJ only around 715pm.

Now, the survival kit to a Klang restaurant wedding dinner is ....
1. Stay clear of the speaker, or anything that resembles a speaker; especially those which is bigger than your head.
2. Identify the nearest escape route, no i'm not talking bout exit, i'm talking bout the little boys and girls room. Once your seated, pray that you dont have to go the moment the food cometh!!!
3. Get a pedestal ready so that u could stock up enuf ice, garlic, cili padi and tee-sue paper.. promise ya, u'll never regret.
4. Yes, you wont look akward leaving with plastic bags and tiffin carriers.Given that the menu comes with suckling piglet and lotus leaf fried rice, its customary to pack leftovers way before EVERYONE finish their share of the poor piggy. Rice dont have to say, all will either be too drunk or bloated to even bother ...

Anyway, by the look of the gang below, guess all of us graduated/ survived the ordeal ... forget bout the karaoke blasting away traditional Hokkien songs, we had a great meal (yes, it was that good and we were terribly hungry too) and a great time.

Congrats Aik Aik & Hsemate and thanks for the great weekend!!!

The CB Gang in full force ....

all smiles after a full tummy ..

Pity the pandi ... i meant the one on the plate..
