7 Habits for the ineffective people ...

Well, the title sayz it all .. so I'll just start with the first one that caught my attention ... kinda heavy for chew on 7 when one's enough to keep me beltching for weeks .... buuurrppp.

Herez the story ...

Two battleship assigned to the training squadron had been at sea on maneuvers in heavy weather for several days. I was serving on the lead battleship and was on watch on the bridge as night fell. The visibility was poor with patchy fog, so the captain remained on the bridge keeping an eye on all activities.

Shortly after dark, the lookout on the wing of the bridge reported
"Light, bearing on the starboard bow"
"Is it steady or moving astern?" asked the captain.
"Steady captain ... which mean we are on a collision course" replied the lookout

The captain then called to the signalman, "Signal that ship, we're on collision course, advise you change course 20 degrees"
Back came a signal, "advisable for you to change course 20 degrees."
The captain said,"Send, I'm a captain, change course 20 degrees.

"I'm a seaman second class" came the reply.. you'd better change course.
by that time, the captain was furious. He spat out, "Send, I'm a battleship, change course NOW!

back came the flashing light ... "I'm a lighthouse."

Throughout my ill-fated journey with Melium and as I head towards the end of the tunnel, I can't help but to keep my chin up and swim ... and thank God I found this book (stuffed in the midst of the countless relics in my room) ...

which brings me to this question after reading the punchline : how often have I assumed the role of the egoistic captain? and how often have I played the steady role of the lighthouse? I dunno,
but one thing I know I have not been the lighthouse good enough to make me shine ... dam it,

"Send, change course 20 degrees east ..."
