Ee-Lyn's Wedding ...

ahh.... one more wedding! The Chin's are really spreading forth their networks and tents.. hehe, so biblical!

Any wedding would have its highlights and I cant help but was amazed by the revelation of a long-speculated mystery of the Chin family. hehehe... no, therez no juicy gossip bout the groom's hairstyle but was about how uncanny a few members of my family resemble each other...

It all started with my little niece, Lorraine being shown my late-grandma's potrait ... more like a lil crash course on family history. Being lil kids, she spoke her heart and boy how much wisdom were there to be exploited!! Being told that that's the potrait of her great-grandma, Lorraine insisted that it wasnt my grandma (ala... as if she knows) but my aunt's (my father's eldest sister)!!! We burst into laughter hearing that and that got the whole (ed: bored) clan talking and matching among each other ...

and here are the results (drum roll please)

Posing from left : My uncle (dad's eldest bro, very camera shy), my 3rd GRAND uncle, my dad and me

ha ... this is the classic example : My aunt and my sister

What ? two pairs of look-alikes? Nows thats something!!

Okay okay .. now u might wondering wherez the bride and the groom .. hmm.. honestly, I dont have a single pic of the them!!

I left the wedding feeling good and since a very long time, feeling good bout my family .. the Chin. Our forefathers might have been nomads in ancient China, but the greatness of this clan have seen them weathering storms and chalking up milestones. It might just be a simple resemblence of look in all generations, but for me, its a simple reminder of where I have come from and where I could go ... the distance.

Congrat's and thanks for the wonderful time Ee-Lyn.
