My pride and joy ... PT II

How time flies! I didn't quite realise that it has been two years since I signed my life away (and my Audit A4) to claim my rights to my house. But I guess it has been worth the while and the sleepless nights (wondering whether the developer will tar-pau over nite or not), though it comes with a huge responsibility and commitment now.

So ladies and gentlemen, people and elephant, fingers crossed, and I will be moving (FINALLY) into my house. Got a call and letter from the developer asking for utility deposits and a hint of the handover. Quite a big euphoria initially too and that got my mind into an extended processing session; thinking of what to buy! My gawd, moving house is just about money and nothing gets done if you've got nothing. Sigh ...

Anyway, to all ye self-proclaimed ID designers, help me out here! I'd just have to be realistic now so am realligning my priorities with regards to which part of the house I should do up first. Ah, a terrrific justification for my Kyen-Zen concept!

So here goes

1. The Master Bedroom a.k.a my room
Now you wouldn't go wrong doing up this room first right? I mean, after all it is THE room for all and sundries..hehehe, Ok Ok. I dont have much to spend on it now, just a basic set of queen size bed, wardrobe and more importantly, a proper cabinet for my AV stuffs!! Ideas please ...

Colour theme : Olive feature wall, light hint of yellow, light birch furniture. No elements of graphics .. just plain diarhhea of colours.

2. The Kitchen
I am chinese, no choice! OK now it might sound crazy but I'm going for white furniture (well, honestly, as if I'm gonna tai-chow every night!) but not gonna touch the tiles first. Will buy those nice jade-green studs later. Green and white, ah thats it, thats the one.

3. The Family hall
Ha, this is my dilemma now, I've got two halls to take care of. So am planning to do up the family hall first instead of the living hall downstairs. Just wanna get a nice small cabinet for the TV and stereo, no furnitiure here, just loads of comfortable over-sized beanis and pillows. Heck, someone even suggested I dump a queen sized bed there! (honestly, it's crude but works well!!!).

Colour scheme : hmm.. this is difficult, mostly because the walls are as tall as the rainforest in Taman Negara. Not quite sure how to deal with this, probablay a pelmet would help. eee...

4. The Living Room
Hmm...no more budget liao. Haha.. sad. Neway, already got my L-shaped sofa set, just need another cabinet.

and last but not least.. my favourite! The lights!!! ahhh... gotta go shop for 'em now!
