From the land of char kuey teow

This is what I like about Penang ... the food! It's only my 2nd day here and my char kuey teow count has reached 3 plates. Nevermind the potential cholestrol and how pig-fat soaked it is but I've not been here for quite some time! Oh my ... think my only itinerary here is whats the next ckt ...

First ony my list now is this auntie frying near sunway hotel. Its quite a pretty busy and popular hawker centre too. Just try to pardon the un-malaysian courtesy and almost astronomical price of 4.50 and you'll get to try the real thing. Too bad though my plate was prepared by her daughter (i think) and not her (the black shirt one). She doesnt look the part of a skilled and talented ckt frier ... i mean you'd to look a the way she stood, with her eyes straing into eternity. NOt sure she knows what stuffs she puts into the wok. Sigh ... Neway, I was quite impressed with the upgrade they have done to their stall.. it just to be one little stall hooked to a tri-cycle and torn shades. But now, it comes with two frying stations, suction hoods and hi-tech chimeys! Heck therez even explandable stainless stell work station!

to be continued ...
